Pressing the "CHECK" button causes the device to read a resistance and "YES" and "NO" buttons will appear on the screen. By touching "YES" you will set a resistance and be returned to the main menu. Touching "NO" will create "+" and "-" buttons to appear which allows you to manually adjust a read resistance.NOTE: Manually changing resistance will only set if you are using a temperature control wire.
Selecting a firing mode
When the main menu, the second option found is called "MODE". By touching "MODE" you will enter a mode selection menu which allows you to choose your firing mode. You will see "PWR" which is your standard variable wattage mode and within that mode you will see two different options: "W" which is wattage mode, and a newly developed mode called "CURVE". "CURVE" is a new firing mode that manually imitates the abilities of temperature by allowing the user to set 5 different wattage over time presets. For example you can set the device to fire at 100 watts for 1.5 seconds, then 90 watts for 1 second and then 110 watts for 1.2 seconds. Doing this will through whatever you have set in a cycle for up to 10 seconds (the device has a 10 second cut off time) and once the firing stops, it will reset and start from the beginning. Wattage in the Curve mode can be adjusted in 0.1 watt increments and seconds can be adjusted in .1 second increments. The other options available in the mode selection mode are "COIL" which is used to select which type of wire you are firing with (supports Ni200, SS316, SS317, and Ti) and then "TCR" and "TFR" modes.
